Quinta da Comporta

Beginning July 1, Ulla Johnson and Portugal’s celebrated luxury resort, Quinta da Comporta, unite for a High Summer residency rooted in a shared passion for the natural world and travel. Limited-edition towels and handloomed robes—inspired by the hotel’s natural palette and Ulla’s commitment to craft—will furnish the hotel’s poolside and villas throughout the season.

Crafted exclusively for Quinta da Comporta, these pieces will also be available for purchase in the resort’s boutique alongside an exclusive High Summer Capsule—transportive silhouettes that complement the warm days and cool nights of a Comporta summer.

Ulla's Guide to Portugal

Where to stay:

The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon in the heart of the city. Just over an hour away is Quinta da Comporta, a peaceful escape out of the city and immersed in natural beauty.

Where to eat:

Marisquería Ramiro, for the seafood and atmosphere. Or Cervejaria Trindade, a former monastery given new life serving traditional Portuguese flavors.

Where to visit:

Graça Church, with mesmeric 18th-century tiling and sweeping views of Lisbon’s terracotta rooftops.

Where to shop:

A Vida Portuguesa is my obsession as a collector. I could spend hours there, wandering through Portuguese-made treasures and heirlooms that speak to the country’s handmade traditions.
