For spring 2024, Ulla Johnson and renowned maker of Japanese gardening tools, Niwaki, celebrate the art of floral arranging with a limited-edition curation of ikebana essentials. Inspired by Ulla’s love of gathering and the natural world, each item is expertly crafted by Japanese artisans using durable and sustainable materials that withstand time.
Rattan-wrapped Tsubo Secateurs—a smaller secateur that’s easier to hold, perfect for flowers and pruning. They’re hand-forged in northern Japan from carbon steel, and the handles are carefully hand-wrapped in Wisteria rattan for a textured grip.
Ueneko Leather Holster—skillfully hand-sewn in Japan in tiny batches to store your Tsubo Secateurs.
Kenzan Bowl—handcrafted from stoneware exclusively for us by Niwaki friend and potter, Yo Thom.
Mini Kenzan Set—a petite set of four brass pins used to display your floral arrangement in place of foam. Strong enough for woody branches as well as soft green and grass stems.
Furoshiki cloth—our Gift Set arrives in a box secured inside this traditional wrapping cloth. Crafted from our limited-edition shibori fabric, it can be used to protect your surface while your arrangement comes to life.
