ULLA Fragrance

A scent can be transportive: one breath and you're in a pine forest after rain, a beach on the Adriatic, a garden just beginning to bloom. ULLA, the new beauty chapter of Ulla Johnson, draws on that same sense of place and memory that runs through the clothing. Created with British perfumer Lyn Harris, the collection moves between coastal light, sea air, green gardens, and impressions gathered through Ulla's own travels.

The eaux de parfum unfold gradually on the skin, beginning with citrus and florals before settling into woods, resins, and soft spice. Each women's perfume comes in a curved glass bottle inspired by nineteenth-century Chinese snuff vessels, finished with a porcelain cap shaped like a flower bud. At home, the same world takes another form: candles sit in hand-built ceramic vessels, while incense made by a centuries-old Japanese maker comes with its own porcelain flower-shaped holder.

The collection was developed in the Ulla Johnson studio and shares the same references as the ready-to-wear, from the natural world to the hand of the maker. An eau de parfum worn with the collection’s fabrics and prints feels like part of the same story, while a candle or fragrance makes an equally thoughtful gift.
